Spanish police have taken a former manager of the Madrid branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China under investigation.
Five ICBC employees were taken to police custody during the raid on Wednesday, over the bank's alleged weak supervision of suspected money laundering. Now there are six employees in custody.
The five employees reportedly appeared in court on Friday to answer charges of tax avoidance and money laundering in the town of Parla, just south of the capital. Legal professionals say the first trial could take years.
