China's permanent representative to the UN, Liu Jieyi, says a political solution is the only way to solve the Syrian crisis. Liu says this principle should be maintained in any circumstances.
"The parties concerned in Syria should strictly implement the UN Security Council's resolution, and the agreement made at the meeting of envoys from the International Syria Support Group. They should prioritize the interests of Syria and its people launch peace talks as soon as possible and let the Syrian people to decide the fate and future of the country."
"Meanwhile, major countries in the region should stop accusing each other and should take practical actions to avoid a worsening situation. They should play constructive roles to implement the cessation of hostilities deal, and expand the scope of humanitarian aid," Liu Jieyi said.
