China's top legislature NPC and top political advisory body CPPCC, have continued to hold their annual sessions. Top legislator Zhang Dejiang delivered his annual work report to a NPC plenary session on Wednesday.
Zhang briefed the deputies on the progress in key lawmaking areas, including state security, people's well-being and criminal penal codes. He also laid out major tasks in the year ahead.
Meanwhile, the draft of charity law, the first bill to regulate charity activities, was submitted to the NPC. It aims to recruit help in realizing the 2020 poverty alleviation target.
