Voices and Votes 03/16/2016 Premier Li's press conference
Hello, I’m Yang Rui with the last edition of Voices & Votes.
China’s annual political season has culminated in Premier Li Keqiang’s press conference, where he provided answers to many of the burning questions about where China is headed.
Premier Li once again expressed full confidence in China’s economic landscape and displayed more interest in pushing ahead with economic reforms than short-term stimuli. He ruled out the possibility that China would miss the set growth target and said China wouldn’t suffer a hard landing.
To look at the highlights of the press conference and the challenges he has set for himself in putting China’s economy on a more sustainable footing, I’m happy to be joined in the studio by Mr. Einar Tangen, author & columnist and Professor Zhang Lifen from Fudan University, who also served as chief editor of the Financial Times China Website.
