The congress screened a documentary about the reserve, detailing its innovative solutions to promote environmental conservation, ecology, and sustainable development.
According to UNESCO data, some 57,000 people live in the Wudalianchi Biosphere Reserve, and their heritage and customs form a vital part of its diversity. The award has been given out by UNESCO’s “Man and the Biosphere” program since 1989, helping to further research on ecosystems, natural resources, and biodiversity.
