To discuss this, we're joined in the studio by Song Qingrun from the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, and Adisorn Semyaem, Senior Researcher with the Mekong Studies Center, at the Institute of Asian Studies, at Chulalongkorn University

Q1: Let me start with Mr. Semyaem. Water resources are one of the five priority sectors for Lancang-Mekong cooperation. How big a problem are water resources for countries along the waterway to expand cooperation?

Q2: Mr.Song, the issues surrounding water resources and dam projects are back under the spotlight after China discharged water to alleviate the drought situation in Vietnam and Thailand. What are the prospects for water resource cooperation for countries along the Mekong River?

Q3: There's already an ASEAN cooperation mechanism. Why do we need an extra platform dedicated to Lancang-Mekong cooperation? Mr. Song, what's good for China? And Mr. Semyaem, what about the other countries?
