Pakistan bus bombing kills 28 Shi'ite pilgrims
At least 28 people have been killed after a bomb ripped through a bus carrying Shi’ite pilgrims in western Pakistan.
Officials said the bomb exploded near a bus carrying pilgrims who were returning from neighouring Iran. Police say the car bomb exploded as the pilgrims’ convoy of several buses passed by.
A police officer said one bus was damaged and caught fire. More than 30 people were injured and many of the victims were women and children. Authorities said the death toll could rise as several of the injured were in critical condition.
