Premier Li Keqiang met with Laos' President Boungnang Vorachith in Vientiane on Thursday.
This would be done through increasing investment and promoting key projects on railways, economic parks and hydroelectric development.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also met with Thongloun Sisoulith, the prime minister of Laos.
Premier Li said China is willing to work more closely with Laos to recognize 55 years of diplomatic relations. He praised the comprehensive strategic partnership with Laos, based on mutual political trust, economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
During his visit, Li also held talks with National Assembly President Pany Yathotou. Li Keqiang said legislative institutions of both countries should meet more often to further develop healthy bilateral ties.
