Entitled "45 years of Sino-Malagasy cooperation", the exhibition has 60 photos showing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, health, cultures, economy and others, the Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar Yang Xiaorong said during the photo exhibition vernissage.
"Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Madagascar in 1972, bilateral relations of friendly cooperation have developed rapidly and remarkably in all fields such as medicine, politics, economy, commerce, culture and education," the ambassador said.
However, the ambassador stressed the education as an important field of cooperation because it concerns young people that she considered as "future of friendship between China and Madagascar.
"Cooperation in the field of education can help enhance mutual understanding because China and Madagascar are separated by a great geographical distance," the ambassador added.
For his part, the General Director of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Blanchard Randrianambinina said that learning Chinese language and culture has become inescapable and the Confucius Institute in Antananarivo and Toamasina (360 kilometers northwest of Antananarivo), play a real role of cultural exchange between Madagascar and China.
"These two institutions contribute to the strengthening of mutual understanding between the two peoples and contribute to the strengthening of shared economic development in a win-win spirit," he said.
Many events such as broadcasting Chinese movie in Malagasy television stations, bringing Chinese musicians to Madagascar and singing competitions for Chinese citizens in Madagascar will also be organized by the embassy for the celebration of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Madagascar this year.
