The Beijing Customs held an open day activity at the Sniffer Dogs base of Anti-Smuggling Bureau of the General Administration of Customs, ahead of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The activity showed visitors the sniffer dogs’ lives and their daily training courses, and it helped them to become more aware of the harm drugs can cause.The base, built in 1993, is one of the three main Sniffer Dogs bases of Beijing Customs. It has 94 sniffer dogs. Since the establishment, the sniffer dogs in this base has helped crack more than 121 cases and detect 264 kilograms of drugs.
