Zhu Ting, China’s star spiker and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Rio Olympic volleyball tournament, on Saturday voiced her readiness to play in the Turkish league.
荣膺中国主攻手和里约奥运会排球比赛中最具价值球员的朱婷，在周六宣布准备好参加土耳其联赛。
"While I’m here, I shall devote myself to training and playing," Zhu said as she arrived in Istanbul early in the morning.
“当我站在这里，我将全身心投入到训练和比赛中。”朱婷在早上抵达伊斯坦布尔时说。
The 22-year-old said she will play for Vakifbank Istanbul, one of the most successful women volleyball clubs in Turkey, in this year’s FIVB World Women’s Club Championship slated for October in the Philippines.
这位22岁的球员说她将加盟土耳其一个最成功的女子排球俱乐部——伊斯坦布尔瓦基弗银行俱乐部，并参加今年10月在菲律宾进行的国际排联世界女子俱乐部锦标赛。
China won the Rio gold medal after defeating Serbia in the final on Aug. 20, while Zhu finished as the top scorer with a total of 179 points, including a tournament-high 33 in the semifinals against the Netherlands.
8月20日，中国队完胜塞尔维亚队夺得里约奥运会冠军，朱婷拿下最高分179分，在对战荷兰队的半决赛更是以33分居首。
She signed with Vakifbank Istanbul in April in a deal proposed by Lang Ping, head coach of the Chinese women’s volleyball team.
4月，朱婷在中国女排教练郎平的提议下签署了伊斯坦布尔瓦基弗银行俱乐部的合同。
"Despite winning gold in Rio, I think I have a lot of things to improve, that’s why I go to Turkey," the girl said early this month.
“尽管在里约奥运会夺冠，我觉得自身还有很多需要提升的地方，这也是我去土耳其的原因。”朱婷在本月初表示。
Mustafa Apaydin, a worker from Vakifbank Istanbul, said Zhu will meet with her teammates later in the day and will join the training for the upcoming season’s league that starts in late October.
