US President Donald Trump launched Made-in-America week on Monday, a close-to-his-heart campaign aimed at restoring its citizens’ pride in American manufacturing, with Trump saying "we want to build, create and grow more products in our country using American labor, American goods, and American grit."

On the same day, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov met with his US counterpart Thomas Shannon in Washington DC. The meeting comes as President Trump marks almost six months in office, with new polls showing more and more Americans are unhappy with the job he's doing.

After two Russian compounds were seized by the Obama administration last December, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov responded on Monday that taking away property which belongs to Russia is like daylight robbery. The  Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Russia reserves "the right to take retaliatory measures based on the principle of reciprocity" if the White House does not return the diplomatic facilities.
