“2018全国人权教育与研究”研讨会在西安举行

A seminar on national human rights education and research was held in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, on Thursday. The event was co-organized by China Society for Human Rights Studies and Publicity Department of Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

周四，由中国人权研究会和中共陕西省委宣传部共同主办的“2018全国人权教育与研究”研讨会在西安举行。

Participants said China has made historic progress in the development of human rights during the 40 years of reform and opening-up, building a relatively complete system of human rights protection and opening up a human rights development road suitable to the country’s conditions, the seminar organizers said in a statement.

研讨会组织者在一份声明中表示，在改革开放40年的时间里，中国的人权发展取得了历史性的进步，建立了相对完整的人权保障体系，开辟了一条适合中国国情的人权发展道路。

In recent years, human rights education and research institutes, experts and scholars in the field actively participate in international exchanges, explaining and interpreting Chinese human rights concepts and development paths, according to the statement.

声明称，近年来，人权教育和研究机构、专家学者积极参与国际交流，解释中国人权理念和发展道路。

about one hundred experts and scholars and representatives of relevant departments took part in the seminar and discussed various topics, including talent cultivation of human rights and theoretical innovation on human rights in the new era, the statement said.

该声明称，来自各人权教育与研究机构的专家学者和相关实务部门代表近100人，围绕“新时代人权教育培训和人才培养”“新时代人权理论创新和学术面向”等议题进行了深入热烈的讨论。
