A week ago, 40-year-old Justine Damond was shot dead by the police she called for a possible sexual assault in her neighborhood.
Officer Mohamed Noor, who is under investigation, said he, sitting in the passenger seat, fired his gun after hearing a loud noise, and mistakenly shot Damond through the driver's side window. But the body cameras of both Noor and Noor's partner, Matthew Harrity, were not turned on when the shooting took place.
Damond's family have fired their attorney as he reached a three million US dollars' settlement with the Minnesota police department.
