南苏丹冲突双方亚的斯亚贝巴启动第二轮和谈

The Sudanese government and the rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North have reopened peace talks in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.

Representatives from both sides met for the first time since last April when negotiations broke down. The talks will focus on issues including security, and the political and humanitarian crisis.

Chief negotiators from both sides expressed good will for stopping the war and to reach a consensus at a national constitution conference.

"We have come to this round of negotiations full of hope that we shall have dialogue with our sisters and brothers on the other side who are carrying arms in the two areas of South Kordofan and the Blue Nile to achieve peace that will rescue our people from the plights of war and destruction," said Ibrahim Admad, chief negotiator of Sudanese gov't.

"Stopping the war from Blue Nile to Nuba Mountains to Northern Kordofan and Darfur and then addressing the root causes of war in a national constitutional conference are the only answers to the Sudan political and economic crisis," said Yasir Arman, chief negotiator of Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North.
