Ten people, nine of them students, have been confirmed dead after the roof of a resort auditorium collapsed in South Korea. 101 students have been injured, 17 of them in critical condition.
The roof fell in on Monday at around 9:00 p.m. local time in Gyeongju city, about 370 kilometers southeast of the capital Seoul. Nearly six hundred students from Busan University of Foreign Studies were gathered for a freshman orientation. South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reports over a dozen others remain missing, possibly still trapped in debris. Firefighters say the weight of heavy snow may have caused the collapse. The official cause is being investigated.
