小蜜蜂玛雅 Maya the Bee:

Maya the bee

once upon a time
deep in the forest
there was a honeycomb on a tree
it was an important day for everybody inside
for today was the day when the babies would hatch
but this is a story of someone special
ah
this is the story of maya
the bee
come on bring them out
hold your places now hmm
you will be named maya
maya wait
why maya why do we need names uh I
I wasn't told I will have questions to answer
but well
we all have names so that others can call out to us
if I just say you be
huh yes what are you talking to me haha
now you know why we need names
yes
because we are all saying but also different
that is absolutely right
that is some good buzzing thought maya
come on everyone follow me outside
maya was in awe
it was like being inside a shiny golden balloon
all the bees were busy with their work
some were cleaning the walls of the beehive
some dropped pollen
into something that looked like a diamond
some were simply walking in a line
well now you all will be assigned work
the ones cleaning the walls are the cleaners
then we have the collector bees the worker bees
why do we all have to work
what kind of a bee are you
bees don't ask questions oh don't be so rude julian
she's just a child
maya we have to work
because if we don't
we all will be very confused and useless
if the cleaners don't clean
then the beehive will get dirty
if the collector piece don't collect nectar
what is nectar
honey is made out of the nectar from the flowers
there
you see them
they are the collector bees
they bring back nectar from the flowers
and then the worker bees make honey out of it
the collector bees bring nectar from the flowers
but
how do they carry the nectar
oh you sweet little child
in their honey stomach of course
we all have one
oh is that where I feel hungry right now
oh
not at all that's your food stomach
ugh if we keep entertaining her
we will be stuck here all day
why can't we be standing here all day
days passed all the newbies were given different jobs
some cleaned the beehive from the inside
some cleared the dry leaves outside
some collected nectar from flowers
some guarded the hive against predators
everyone had a fixed place
except for maya
she always saw things differently
when everyone cleaned the walls with their hands
she would just blow at the walls
and consider the work done
and when the bees would walk in a line
why are you troubling me
oh
everyone is worried that I can't find my place
so I am trying to see if I can walk like you do
well you are doing it absolutely wrong
um
but
you are you and I am me
how can I walk the way you do
tell me can you buck like this
oh of course I can see
oh oh no what am I doing
you child are distracting me
what kind of a b are you
oh no I am left behind
cassandra the workerby and even the queen herself
could not place maya anywhere
she would just look at
everything in awe and ask a lot of questions
what's on your head big bee
you can't talk to the queen like that
I am so sorry your majesty oh
tell me maya why can't you work where we want you to
ah um
I don't know
everybody here is always so busy
they just work work work work work
I don't feel happy when I see them
but I felt happy
that day when I fell from that diamond thing
and swoosh and swoosh I flew
and round and round I went
my dream is to fly
to go outside and see the world
no my what is she blubbering about
dream happy
what kind of a b are you bees
don't dream
oh your majesty forgive me she means no harm
I have been trying to place her myself
but she keeps talking about going out
maybe that's what she really wants
that is what she must be good at
we can send her out to collect nectar
well asking a bee what she wants to be hmm
that's the first
and also very confusing
bees places are assigned as soon as they are hatched
but if this is good for the beehive
so be it she is old enough to be sent out to get nectar
train her well and let her out
yes your majesty
and so maya was taught everything about flowers
she was then trained to follow the swarm of bees
she was warned repeatedly to never fly alone
and lastly she was warned about the hornets
the hornets were the sworn enemies of the bees
they would always try to steal honey and hurt the bees
but we can sing them if they hurt us right
ah
the hornets are getting smarter maya
they wear armors every time they attack us
only their neck can be stung
as they don't wear helmets but
hardly any b has managed to sting a hornet in a war
you take good care not to be found by them
okay
hmm I will take care
maya waved goodbye to cassandra and left with a swarm
this was her first trip outside the beehive
the moment she stepped out
maya was in awe
the trees the ferns the flowers
oh it's so beautiful out here
I can just buzz you all day
we are here to work maya
not to just keep buzzing around
just make sure you are always around your swarm
but maya wasn't listening
she was busy enjoying her first flight
oh what's that
oh so sorry I didn't know there was someone there
hi I'm maya the bee
and you
oh you too look like a bee to me and you are pretty
lovely I must say
oh wait are you copying me
hmm that's very mean of you oh
you hurt me you are being very rude
well well well
look what we have here a human disguised disappear
just just what
disguised
meaning you are a human under the clothes of a bee
but I am a bee
I'm not a human
and this is also a bee
but a very rude one at that
that's your reflection dummy
she is not being rude
you are being rude to yourself
it's all in your head just like a human trust me
they themselves create most of their problems
may
what are you doing here
oh I am being rude I am
my name is maya
maya the bee
I know
I heard you when you introduced yourself to yourself
before
oh right actually
I was out with my swarm to collect honey
oh oh no my swarm
I got away they're all gone
wait a minute
you lost your way while you were with your swarm
what kind of a b are you
ugh what will you do now
oh I don't know
I will collect some nectar and find my way back home
yes well
there is a good bunch of juicy flowers over there
you can try
ah it's so kind of you to help me out
thank you Mr Grasshopper
the name is hopper
clip hopper oh of course
flip hopper thank you
maya collected all honey she could
and buzzed her way back home
she flew through the tall trees and bushes
and yet it was a long way to go
oh I am tired
maybe I can rest somewhere for a while
I can keep flying later
just then little maya was looking for a flower
let me go let me go
not so soon you little bee
queen is going to be so happy with me
us us
she is going to be so happy with us
we found a cute little bee
don't call her cute you idiot
she is our sworn enemy
oh you were right
that little ugly bee with you and eyes
let's just go
the hornets locked up maya in a small room
maya was very scared and tried to run away but failed
what do I do now
shh this is a very secret plan
okay listen
we are going to teach those bees a lesson tomorrow
ooh should I carry my red pen
what no not that lesson
we are going to attack their beehive tomorrow
be ready oh
what to do about the one we caught
we will see what to do about her tomorrow morning
come on now let's go and help the guards
the hornets were not aware that maya was listening
to their plan
no they're going to attack my hive
no I cannot lose hope
I have to save my family
that night maya could not sleep
she kept thinking of what to do next
oh how do I stop the hornets
only their neck can be stung as they don't wear helmets
but
hardly any bee has managed to sting a hornet in a war
wait I got it
as the sun rose the hornet came to mails room
little b
wait where is she
ha that's what you get for calling me ugly
I have to warn the queen
maya flew as fast as she could and reached her hive
she narrated the whole incident to the queen
oh no
quickly alert the gods we have to stay prepared
the hive was now ready for the attack
when the hornets came
the bees attacked with full energy
they flew from above and stung the hornets next
maya had taught the bees well
the hornets were all confused and dazed
pull back pull back
they ran away in no time
this is my home
I will do anything to protect it
oh my child I am so proud of you
tell me what do you want to become when you grow up
ah
all the bees about like
experiences and teach them to be their kind of bees
the kind of bees
yes everyone keeps asking me what kind of a bee are you
well I am my
kind of bee
so are all of them
I want to be my kind of a bee too
your kind of a bee is boring be my kind of a bee
well maya you are a good teacher for sure
and we are happy to have you back I

懒女孩 Lazy Girl:

The lazy girl and the diligent girl

there was a house in a faraway village
a house were lived a husband and a wife
both of them had one daughter each
from their previous marriage
the wife loved her daughter a lot
she gave her new clothes to wear
and never asked her to do any work
her daughter thus became very lazy
she would sit around all day doing nothing
but admiring herself
on the other hand
the wife treated her stepdaughter very poorly
why are you sitting here
get up and clean the house
but mother I clean the house just this morning
don't argue with me just do as I say
yes mother
the wife would make her do all the work
and yet the girl never complained
she would do the same work
over and over again and never get tired
her father watched it all
his heart ached for his daughter
but he could not do anything
over time he had become too weak and stayed unwell
my sweet daughter
I am so sorry
I can't give you anything
no father don't be sorry
you loved and cared for me all my life
it's my turn now to take care of you
I will work and earn a lot of money
this is a difficult time for us
it will be over soon
the wife was quietly listening to all of this
why didn't I think of it
I should send her out and make
her work with a wealthy family
I will send her a way to earn money
and whatever she earns
will be mine
me and my daughter will then have the life I
always wanted
you are right
your father stays ill a lot you know
and then there are other expenses
why don't you go out and work with a wealthy family
you could be a good servant
how dare you why don't you send your daughter instead
though I would
but you know that she is
always worried about her pretty
hands and her tiny feet
she will lose her beauty if she works
besides your daughter isn't that beautiful anyway
letting her off to do work won't do any harm
it's decided then
tomorrow morning
you will leave to look for work with a wealthy family
oh
what does she know about beauty
you don't have to work my child
no father I want to work
nothing comes out of neglecting our duties
don't worry you have taught me well
I know one day my efforts will be rewarded
next morning the girl was ready to leave
she would look for work with a wealthy family
her stepmother did not give any food or water
for the journey
but the girl didn't mind
ah
take good care of yourself my child and remember
never say no to anyone asking for help
and be diligent
whatever you do
do it with all your heart
yes I will remember that father
and the daughter left
she walked from hill to hill but she found nothing
she walked for days but didn't see anybody
and yet she didn't lose hope
she remembered what her father had said
never say no to anyone asking for help
and be diligent
whatever you do
do it with all your heart
right now I have to focus on finding work
that's what I have to do
and I will do it with all my heart
no matter how long it takes
I will not give up
a little ahead
she came across a talking tree
it was completely dried up
hello girl you seem to be going somewhere
will you help me in getting rid of my dry branches
I will do you a good deed in return
oh of course
the girl then climbed up
and broke all the dry branches with her hands
she didn't stop
till the tree was completely clean of dry twigs
and ready to grow new leaves and fruits
the tree thanked her and the girl walked ahead
a little further she founded dying vine
just beside the vine was a strange looking spade
the vine spoke to the girl
hello
will you plow near my roots
I will do you a good deed in return
the girl took the spade and began to plow
she plowed and plowed till her palms were sword
oh your hands must hurt
that's all right
they will heal
you were in need
and I had to help you
the vine thanked her and the girl walked ahead
a little further
she came across a broken oven and it called out for her
little girl will you clean me and make me tidy
I will do you a good deed in return
the girl saw that the oven had a lot of cracks
she thought for a while
she then brought some mud and mixed it with her feet
she then used that mud to cover all the cracks
the oven was now as new as ever
thank you but your hands and feet got dirty
that's all right
I can clean them with some water
you were in need and I had to help you
the girl then walked ahead
a little further
she came across a broken well and it spoke to her
whoa hello
will you take out the steel water and make me tidy
I will do you a good deed in return
the girl threw out all the stale water
and scrubbed the well clean
the well thanked her and the girl walked ahead
a little further she heard a cute little voice
it was a dog the dog was muddy and had long hair
well you trim my hair and give me a bath at the river
I will do you a good deed in return
and the girl did the same
the dog now look happy and healthy
she thanked the girl
the girl washed herself at the river and walked ahead
soon it grew dark
she came across a house
there lived seven fairies
um sorry to disturb you
but it's dark outside
can I stay here for the night
where are you going
I'm looking for some work
is that so why didn't you work here
there are seven rooms
you will have to clean all the six rooms every day
but remember never enter the seventh room
do you agree
oh I am so grateful
thank you I will do as you say
and so the girl did
she woke up every day and cleaned all the six rooms
she never looked at the seventh room
a year passed and the girl had earned enough money
she wished to return to her ailing father
before you leave
tell us why weren't you curious about the seventh room
my father taught me to always follow my duty
for as long as I worked here
my duty was to obey you
we are pleased with your honesty child
your diligence has impressed us
come with me it's time for your reward
the fairies took the girl to the seventh room
there inside were heaps of gold and silver coins
go and roll over those coins
whatever sticks to you is yours
the girl did a that
she rolled over in the heap of gold coins
and then in the heap of silver coins
she shone like a star as all the coins stuck to her
she waved goodbye to the fairies and left
on her way back she found a dog
she had bathed
the dog now had long pearls instead of hair
come girl you helped me when I was in need
come and take as many pearls as you want
the girl wrapped the string of pearls around her hands
legs and neck
she thanked the dog and walked away
a little further she found the well she had cleaned
drink water and quench your thirst
there many jugs kept near the well for travelers
the girl took a jug
filled it with water and drank to her heart's content
she thanked the well and walked away
a little further she found the oven she had mended
come girl you helped me when I was in need
come eat this fresh bread and cake
so the girl ate as much as she wanted
and carried some for her father
she then thanked the oven and walked away
a little further she found the vine she had plowed
come girl you helped me when I was in need
come drink this fresh wine
and so the girl drank as much as she wanted
and took some for her father
she thanked divine and walked away
a little further she found the tree she had helped
the tree was green as ever and bore fresh pairs
come girl you helped me when I was in need
come and eat these fresh pears
and so the girl ate as much as she wanted
and plucked some for her father
she thanked the tree and walked away
as she returned home she was happy to see her father
he wasn't ill anymore
and was waiting for her at the door
she ran to him and hugged him tight
when the mother came
she was shocked to see the husband healthy
and the daughter wealthy
she was covered from head to toe in gold and silver and
much more
ignoring the mother
the father and his daughter walked inside
the stepmother realized that her husband
will not let her have anything
she immediately called out to her daughter
and asked her to go look for work
in a wealthy family
listen now you
you have to earn more than her
I got faith in you
she got pearls
you will get me rubies
the daughter waved goodbye and began to walk
she hadn't walked long
when she came across a tree
which was completely dried up
the tree asked her to help get rid of its dry branches
in return of a good deed
ah are you serious
I will not dirty my clean hands on my pretty
fit for your dried branches no matter what
and she walked ahead
a little further
she came across a dying bike
which
asked her to plow near his roots in return of a good
deed
under this burning sun
I will not dirty my clean hands and my pretty
feet for your dying roots
no matter what
and she walked ahead
a little further she came across a broken oven
which asked her to mend it in return of a good deed
I will not
dirty my clean hands on my pretty feet no matter what
a little further she came across a well
which asked her to clean her in return for a good deed
you are a well of water
clean yourself
I will not dirty my pretty hands on my pretty feet
no matter what
a little further she came across a dog
who asked her to bathe her in return of a good deed
but the girl ran away screaming
she will not dirty her clean hands and her pretty feet
no matter what
a little further she came to a house
and asked if she could stay the night
it was the house of the seven fairies
just like before
the fairies offered her to stay there for a year
and clean all the six rooms
but remember do not enter the seventh room
the girl agreed
every day she would wake up and clean all the six rooms
but shortly curiosity got better of her
and she entered the seventh room
it was dark inside
and instead of gold and silver coins
there were frogs and honeybees
they stung her so bad that she was bruised all over
without waiting for the fairies to come
the girl ran away from the house on
her way back she found the dog covered in pearls
she ran behind him
to grab a few strings but the dog was gone
a little further she found the well
she had refused to clean
as she bent down to get a drink of water
the water slipped further down to go out of her reach
a little further
she found the oven she had refused to mend
there was fresh bread and cake near it
but when the girl tried to touch the bread
it burned her hands
a little further she found the vine
she had refused to plow
she was very thirsty
but the vine did not let her have a drink
a little
further she found the tree she had refused to help
it was full of green leaves and fresh pairs
but as she tried to reach the pairs
the tree grew taller to go out of her reach
the girl then walked away
back home her mother was standing at the door
hoping to see golden rubies
but her daughter returned
covered in bruises with her clothes all dirty
you see now laziness doesn't pay you anything
only a humble and honest heart will be rewarded
you have no place in this house anymore
you must leave
the wife and the daughter left the house
the father and his diligent daughter
then lived happily ever after
