中国与印度就2014联合军演进行军事对话

China and India have agreed on a number of military cooperation programs,  including a joint military drill to be held this year. The two sides made the  decision at their latest round of Defense and Security talks on Monday in New  Delhi.

More cooperation ahead. The latest Defense and Security talks, co-chaired by  Wang Guanzhong, Deputy Chief of Staff of the People's Liberation Army, and  Indian Defense Secretary R.K. Mathur, confirmed a 2014 joint drill between China  and India. The two sides outlined continuing naval cooperation on maritime  security.

Both sides also agreed to hold a number of military exchanges on technology,  anti-terrorism, humanitarian aid and disaster relief. After the talks, Wang  Guanzhong met Indian Defense Minister A.K. Antony. Wang said that China is ready  to deepen pragmatic cooperation with India, properly handle the differences  between the two countries, and push forward relations between the armed forces  to a new stage.

Antony stressed India's commitment to maintaining peace in disputed border  areas. He called on the two countries and their armed forces to work together to  secure regional peace and stability.

Wang also met with the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the  Indian Armed Forces and Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh.
