Venezuela has ordered the ambassador of Panama and three other diplomats to leave the country, accusing them of conspiring against the government.
Last month, Venezuela expelled US diplomats for the same reason. Meanwhile, a National Guardsman and a motorcyclist were killed on Thursday in a clash between protesters in a Caracas neighbourhood and men trying to remove a barricade.
In a televised speech, President Nicolas Maduro said the dead motorcyclist was removing debris. The opposition accuses the government of using civilian groups on motorcycles to break up demonstrations.
