华人群星闪耀第66届戛纳电影节

China has three movies entering the 66th Cannes Film Festival, which kicked off Wednesday evening (Beijing Time), and three Chinese or Chinese American judges appear on the various juries.

第66届戛纳电影节于北京时间15日晚间拉开帷幕，中国有三部影片入围。此外还有三名华人评委入选不同竞赛单元的评委会。

One of Hollywood's most accomplished directors, Steven Spielberg, is heading the jury panel this year. He and eight other members, including Nicole Kidman and Ang Lee, will decide who wins the Palme d'Or.

今年的评委会主席是好莱坞成就最高的导演之一--斯皮尔伯格。他将和包括妮可-基德曼以及李安在内的其他8位评委决定金棕榈奖的归属。

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has been appointed as a member of judging panel in the Un Certain Regard section. Chinese movie critic Luo Jin has also been invited to be a judge for France 4 Visionary Award, making him the first Chinese movie critic to be a judge for a top-ranking film festival.

中国演员章子怡出任“一种关注”单元评委。中国影评人骆晋获邀担任“青年视野奖”评委。他是第一位在顶级电影节中担任评委的中国影评人。

Chinese director Jia Zhangke's "A Touch of Sin", which revolves around the lives of four common Chinese citizens, became the first mainland Chinese film to compete for the top prize in three years.

中国导演贾樟柯的影片《天注定》将竞争最佳影片大奖，这是三年来首次有中国大陆影片入围此奖。该片围绕4个普通中国公民的生活展开故事。

Actors Jiang Wu, Wang Baoqiang and Zhao Tao, who star in Jia's film, are also expected to compete for the best actor and actress awards.

演员姜武、王宝强和赵涛作为《天注定》的主演，有望角逐最佳男女主角奖。

Appearing alongside Jia in Cannes is Hong Kong film maker Johnnie To, who will show his crime feature "Blind Detective" as an out-of-competition film in the midnight screening section.

和贾樟柯并肩的还有香港电影人杜琪峰，他执导的犯罪题材影片《盲探》将在非竞赛性质的“午夜展映”单元亮相。

Hong Kong director Flora Lau's film "Bends" has been selected to compete in the Un Certain Regard section.

香港导演刘韵文的影片《过界》则入围“一种关注”竞赛单元。
