地球一小时英文报道:亚洲主要城市熄灯一小时
Millions of people around the world have switched off their lights momentarily to mark the yearly "Earth Hour" campaign organised by the World Wildlife Fund.
At 8:30 pm local time in Singapore, a man dressed in a Spiderman suit signalled the start of Earth Hour on Saturday. The cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also attended the gathering. Spider-man played by Andrew Garfield was recently announced as the first super hero ambassador for Earth Hour. Lights at landmarks across the Chinese capital Beijing were turned off, including at the city’s tallest building, the 81-storey China World Trade Center. And in the South Korean capital, Seoul, hundreds of residents attended a celebration event to mark Earth Hour.
Many children dressed as Spiderman gathered in Tokyo and counted down to lights off at 8:30 p.m. local time. Karachi also joined in the campaign. Members of the Sindh Assembly, World Wildlife Fund officials and activists gathered at the Sindh Assembly building and lit candles and released lanterns into the night sky.
