Christmas = Xmas
Christmas 的正确缩写为 Xmas，其中 的 X 代表希腊字母 X，也是基督希腊文名字 ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ 的首字母，用来代替原本的 Christ（基督）。
那 X’mas 这个用法又是从何而来呢？ Xmas 一词传到亚洲地区后，人们误以为 X 为「英文 Christ」的缩写，因此开始有人在 X 后面加上一撇，而 X’mas 这个误用在以讹传讹之下逐渐普及。
