Kevin: Hey Bruce, what’s wrong? You look so stressed out.
Kevin: 嗨 Bruce，发生什么事了？你看起来压力很大。
Bruce: Oh, hey Kevin. Nothing… I’m just a little annoyed with my girlfriend.
Bruce: 嘿 Kevin，没事啦…我只是被我女朋友搞得有点烦。
Kevin: What happened?
Kevin: 怎么了？
Bruce: We’ve been in a relationship for a year. In the beginning, everything was just fine and sweet. But, after half year, she suddenly became very controlling.
Bruce: 我们已经在一起一年了，一开始都很好也很甜蜜。但是，在一起半年后，她突然变得控制欲很强。
Kevin: How come?
Kevin: 怎么会这样？
Bruce: She started to ask me to call her three times a day, and if I didn’t reply her message in ten minutes, she would freak out and start saying that I didn’t care about her and that I must be cheating.
Bruce: 她开始会要求我每天打电话给他三次，然后如果我没有在十分钟内回她讯息，她就会抓狂然后说我都不在乎她一定在偷吃之类的话。
Kevin: What!? She sounds like a control freak. I couldn’t handle that. If I were you, I would break up with her.
Kevin: 什么！ ？她听起来就像个控制狂，如果我是你，我肯定会分手因为我真的无法承受。
Bruce: I just feel so worn out…
Bruce: 我真的已经筋疲力尽了…

controlling (adj.) 控制欲强的
你身边有那种常常会很「关心」你的人吗？关心到无时无刻都要知道你在做什么、在哪里？英文中有一个形容词可以形容他们，那就是 controlling，意思是「控制欲强的」，而这样的人中文称之为「控制狂」，英文即为 control freak。

freak out (phr.) 抓狂；吓死
freak 当名词时是「怪咖」的意思，另外也可当动词，常见动词片语 freak out 意思是「抓狂」，也有「吓死」的意思，用法请看以下两个例句：
Mom freaked out when she saw the mess we had made in the house.
当妈妈看到我们把家里弄得这么乱，她就抓狂了。
The snake in the zoo freaked Lucy out.
动物园里的蛇把 Lucy 吓得半死。
worn out (adj.) 感到筋疲力尽的
表示「筋疲力尽」除了用常见的形容词 exhausted 以外，还可以怎么说呢？你可以用 worn out 表示。 worn 是动词 wear 的过去分词，而 wear out 原本是「用光；磨光」的意思，因此用过去分词形时可以衍生为「感到筋疲力尽」之意。
