Willie: Yes, it’s still available.
Willie: 对，它还空着。
Andrea: Great! What time is convenient for a viewing?
Andrea: 太好了！请问我什么时候可以去看房？
Willie: Is Saturday at 2 p.m. okay for you?
Willie: 你这星期六下午两点方便吗？
Andrea: That suits, see you then!

在外租屋除了在广告上看照片之外，更重要的就是实际走访一遍，如果你想跟房东预约看房你就可以用这一句：What time is convenient for viewing?，What time is conveninet for…? 这个句型很方便，可以运用在很多地方。

我对这间出租房间很有兴趣。请问何时可以去看房？
apartment/flat (n.) 租屋处
在美国，出租处称之为 apartment，在英国则称之为 flat。
My new flat is really cheap. The rent is only 300 GBP a month with utilities.
我新的租屋处很便宜，一个月才三百英镑含水电。
My friend said it is difficult to find affordable apartments in San Francisco.
我朋友说要在旧金山找到负担得起得租屋处相当困难。
open area (n.) 公共区域
open 除了当动词，表示「开」之外，也可以当形容词，意思为「开放的」，而 area 是名词，表示「区域」，两者合一就是大家都可以使用的「公共区域」啦！
This kitchen is in the open area, so we are all responsible for keeping it clean.
这间厨房在公共区域，所以每个人都有责任保持它的整洁。
How many people share…? 有多少人一起共用…？
如果你的租屋处有公共区域，那你可能会问有多少人一起共用，这个时候「共用」的英文就可以用 share 这个单字，它除了当「分享」，也可以当「共用」的意思。
How many people share the living room?
有多少人一起共用这个客厅？
在看完公共空间后，Willie 带 Andrea 去看房间内的摆设…
Willie: Here is the room. It comes furnished and has everything you need, including a bed, air conditioner, TV, desk and a chair.

Andrea: Good! How much is the rent?
Andrea: 很好，那一个月的房租多少？

Willie: 台币 8,000。
Andrea: Does that include utilities?
Andrea: 请问包含水电吗？
Willie: Yes.
Willie: 是的。
Andrea: Great! How long is the lease?
Andrea: 太好了，那么租约多长呢？
Willie: Two years. The security deposit is two months rent.
Willie: 租约是两年，押金是两个月的房租。
Andrea: I see. Okay, I’ll let you know if I’ll take it or not in a few days.
Andrea: 了解，好，我会在这几天告诉你我的决定。
Does that [the rent] include utilities? 请问 (房租) 有包含水电吗？
房租不一定都有包含水电费，那如果在国外应该怎么问房东呢？水电费的英文可以用 utilities，这个字是「水电煤气」的意思，而「包含」，则可用 include 这个动词。
My rent in Taipei includes utilities.
我在台北的房租有包水电。
rental lease (n.) 租约
rental 是 rent 的形容词形，而 lease 在此为名词，「合约，契约」，两者合一就是「租约」意思，而「签」约的动词，就可以用 sign 这个字。
I’m going to sign a three-year lease tomorrow on a new apartment.
我明天要签三年的租约。
security deposit (n.) 押金
租房除了房租需要注意之外，更要注意是否需要付押金，security 是名词，在此表示「保障」，而 deposit 是除了当「储蓄」的意思之外也有「押金」的意思喔！
You need to pay a security deposit if you want to rent the house.
你租这个房子之前要付押金。
