尾牙：year-end party (banquet)/ end-of-year party (banquet)
尾牙的英文跟尾巴(tail)或牙齿(tooth)一点关系都没有喔，西方文化中并没有尾牙这个名词，所以我们可以用「年终」(year-end)这个概念去理解。
→ Throwing a year-end party is a way for employers to show their appreciation for their employees’ hard work.
→ 举办尾牙是雇主对员工辛勤工作表达感谢的一种方式。
尾牙中总是不乏进行一些活动来娱乐大家，为了让大家有吃又有玩，可是伤透了福委会同仁们的脑筋呢！我们来看看在尾牙上可以有哪些活动呢？
才艺表演：talent show
每天与你并肩作战的同事之中可能就有台版的Taylor Swift，或是下一个Weeknd，这时候才艺表演就是他们大展长才的好机会了！
→ Jack showed his best moves in the talent show of our company’s end-of-year party.
→ 杰克在我们公司尾牙的才艺表演上展现他最炫的舞步。
颁奖：award show
尾牙中可以表扬表现特殊的员工们，例如最佳业绩 (best in sale)、全勤奖 (perfect attendance)，也可以是一些比较有趣的奖项，例如最佳办公桌布置 (best decorations on the desk)、最逗趣发型 (most interesting hairstyle)等。
→ Tracy won The Best Singer in the award show.
→ 翠西在颁奖典礼上赢得最佳歌手奖。
抽奖：lucky draw/ raffle
尾牙中最让大家期待的想必就是抽奖活动吧！ draw除了当动词有「绘画」的意思，在这里是当名词，指的是「抽签」。 raffle动名词同形，名词有「抽奖」的意思，动词则是「以⋯为奖品」。
→ Remember to put your raffle ticket in the box to enter the lucky draw.
→ 请记得将你的抽奖卷投入箱子里以参加抽奖活动。
→ Everyone was looking forward to the raffle at the year-end banquet because the company raffled off a Mercedes-Benz as the grand prize.
→ 大家都期待尾牙的抽奖，因为公司以一台宾士轿车作为头奖。
年终奖金：year-end bonus
bonus本身就有奖金、红利、额外津贴的意思。
→ Evergreen Marine Corp reportedly handed out generous year-end bonuses to its employees last year, with some getting up to NT$2 million, or the equivalent of 40 months’ salary.
→ 据报导，去年长荣海运发给其员工丰厚的年终奖金，有些员工领到高达新台币2百万元，等同于40个月的薪资。
绩效考核：performance review (evaluation)
performance意思是「表现」，review和evaluation有「评论、评价」的意思，因此评论一人的工作表现，也就是指绩效考核。
→ Lucy did well on her performance review this year, so she got a raise.
→ 露西今年在绩效考核上表现不错，所以她加薪了。
