The 12-year-old received a heart, donated by the adult, who died of brain cancer on Friday. In just six hours, medical teams managed to fly the heart from Guangxi, in south China, to Beijing, in north China. this was also the first time, that an air ambulance was used in China to transfer a human organ.
2:40 PM in this military hospital in Guangxi. A 21-year-old man surnamed Ye, has just died from brain cancer. But there isn’t much time for his family to bid final goodbyes. Because, Mr. Ye is an organ donor and a 12 year-old-boy is waiting for his heart.
"I hope that his heart can help a patient. At least it can sustain the other person’s life." said the father of donor.
