Premier Li Keqiang has visited a vocational school in the Angolan capital Luanda, which has been partly funded by China. The premier was keen to stress the importance of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Students at the school welcomed Premier Li with a traditional African Dance. Later, Li and Angolan Vice President, Manuel Vicente, jointly inaugurated the school, which provides free employment training for young Angolan adults. Key subjects at the school are electrical and mechanical engineering - skills that are urgently needed in Angola. Li visited the school’s library, and talked about the benefits of employment, encouraging the students to study hard. Students later recited some lines from Classical Chinese literature in front of the Chinese Premier. Premier Li also personally donated a number of books to the school.
