Shanghai will host the summit of the 4th Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, also known as CICA next week.
The two-day meeting, beginning on Tuesday, will be attended by representatives from 24 member countries, and 13 observers. Participants include 11 heads of state and ten chiefs of international organizations. Chinese president Xi Jinping will attend and chair the summit. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will also attend.
CICA was established in 1992. It serves as a forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia. this year, China’s Central Television will use 4G technology to provide live broadcasting signals to more than 50 countries.
