China's Foreign Ministry says that Vietnam is making "irresponsible accusations" against China. The comment was made after Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that his country is considering legal action against China over the dispute in the South China Sea.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said that Vietnam has carried out numerous actions to disrupt the oil drill operation within Chinese territorial waters. He also said that Vietnam allowed mass riots against Chinese businesses and personnel.
"Vietnam is once again making groundless accusations against China to the international community,” Hong said.
“Who is creating tensions in the South China Sea? Who is disrupting peace and stability in the South China Sea? Who is challenging another country’s legitimate interests? Who on earth is instigating tension on the sea? Who is undermining the peace and stability in South China Sea? Facts speak louder than words.”
