目击者回忆新疆爆恐案爆炸瞬间
当地政府已启动了紧急反映机制处理新疆爆恐案。受伤人员已被送往新疆六大医院，特殊医疗队也被派出进行个别护理。
The regional government immediately launched an emergency response mechanism to treat the casualties. The wounded are being treated in six major hospitals in Urumqi, and special medical teams have been set up for individualized care. Hu Chuqiao takes a look at how the victims and witnesses recounted the chaos.
62-year-old Sarigul Seyit had just dropped off her grandson at school. Before she went shopping at the market.
"People around me were running and screaming. I was there to buy milk and Chinese dates, and I started to run to the roadside following the others. I don’t remember how I fell. I found my arm was broken after I got up. A Han taxi driver came and offered to help me get into his car. And I called my daughter in the taxi." Blast victim Sarigul Seyit said.
The taxi driver took her to the regional Traditional Medicine Hospital. Her daughter was very grateful to the kind-hearted man who didn’t leave his name.
"She’s so lucky! such a big thing! She’s so lucky to have survived!" Daughter of Sarigul Horigul Japar said.
The explosion went off just before 8 A-M in downtown Urumqi, just two streets away from a government building. Witnesses say two SUVs coming from the north rammed through iron barriers, right into the crowd.
"The two SUVs speeded straight ahead, one after the other. I was thinking, this is not good, something is happening. I turned around and started to run. And I heard the blasts, two bangs." Witness Ms Tian said.
Assailants threw explosives out of the window before a head-on crash. One of the vehicles exploded, causing huge casualties.
"People were lying on the ground. Most of them were elderly." A vendor said.
79-year-old Tian Jufeng was one of them. He’s been living in the community near the market for 16 years. He says a lot of the victims are his neighbors.
"We usually go to the market in the morning for vegetables. There were a lot of people there. Nobody ever expected something like this could happen. The first blast was right in front of me and set off the flames. I didn’t realize what was happening. When I woke up, a car was on me. I felt it was over, so I struggled to crawl out. There was a woman near my right arm. When I was trying to leave, I heard another two bangs..."Blast victim Tian Jufeng said.
According to the hospital, most of the victims are suffering from blast injuries and bone fractures.
"Most of the injured are in stable condition and mood. We’ve also had our hospital psychologists begin counselling." Liu Hongxia with Xinjiang Traditional Medicine Hospital said.
The treatment has just started, but it will take a long time before the physical and mental wounds can heal.
