China’s trade volume with its major partners continued to rise during the first five months of this year. The European union , the United States and ASEAN are China’s three largest trading partners and there was modest growth in the total trade volume with those economies.
Among China’s total trade volume in the first five months of this year, general trade’s share rose to 55%, while processing trade’s percentage dropped to 31.6%. The customs office says that shows a better international trade structure.
"General trade kept the positive export momentum, and its percentage in our total trade volume kept rising. This shows our trade structure is changing , and that companies with international businesses are improving their profits and competitiveness."Zheng Yuesheng, Dir. of Statistics Division, China's General Admin. of Customs said.
