巴西反世界杯抗议持续

Anti-World Cup demonstrators walk toward Maracana stadium to protest the money spent on the World Cup soccer tournament and demand better public services in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sunday, June 15, 2014.

You can see that windows were smashed, but it looks like the ATMs were untouched. Police then tried to block protesters who were trying to reach the Maracana stadium. Demonstrations against the World Cup have tapered off since the start of the tournament.

On the opening day of the event, officers used stun guns and tear gas against hundreds of masked rioters. many Brazilians believe the 11 billion dollars spent to build stadiums in 12 host cities could have been better spent on schools, health care and improving transit systems in the country.
