以色列总理暗示将扩大军事行动解救被绑架年轻人
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says efforts to recover kidnapped youths may 'take time' hinting at expanded military operations. Netanyahu was speaking on television from a military base on Monday.
Israeli troops arrested more than 100 Hamas officials in the West Bank and expanded a search for three teenagers into a crackdown on the Islamist group accused of abducting them. Netanyahu broke off peace talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas after Fatah and Hamas reconciled in April. He’s held a rare telephone conversation with the Palestinian leader.
The official statement says Netanyahu expects Abbas to help to find the teenagers, who disappeared Thursday after leaving a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank.
