A damaged excavator juts out of water after the floods receded in Huarong county, Central China's Hunan province, July 29, 2016. The excavator was one of the six vehicles used to block the water when a dike in the county was breached. As of July 29, most residents have returned to their homes, with only 400 or so in need of resettlement as their homes are too damaged.
