China's Central Meteorological Observatory has continued to issue a yellow heat alert.
Most parts of the country will experience a round of high temperatures. In provinces from north to southwest China, including Shannxi, Sichuan and Xinjiang, temperatures will reach 35 degrees Celsius. And temperatures in north China’s Hebei, Shandong, East China’s Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang and northwest China's Turpan Depression in Xijiang will exceed 37 degrees Celsius.
Local governments have warned people to avoid going outdoors and to take effective measures to prevent sunstroke.
