Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday had a telephone conversation with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

Xi congratulated Trump on his election and said that in 37 years since China and the United States established diplomatic relations, bilateral ties have been continuously growing and moving forward, which has brought about substantial benefits to the peoples of the two countries and has promoted world and regional peace, stability and prosperity.
习近平祝贺特朗普当选美国总统，他表示，中美建交37年来，两国关系不断向前发展，给两国人民带来了实实在在的利益，也促进了世界和地区和平、稳定、繁荣。
Facts have shown that cooperation is the only correct choice for the two countries in dealing with their relations, said Xi.
习近平称，事实证明，合作是中美两国唯一的正确选择。

China’s leader has spoken to US President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him on his stunning election victory.

President Xi Jinping and Trump spoke on the phone Sunday night, and "established a clear sense of mutual respect for one another," according to a short statement from Trump’s transition team."President-elect Trump stated that he believes the two leaders will have one of the strongest relationships for both countries moving forward," it added.
美国时间周日晚，中国领导人习近平和特朗普通电话。根据特朗普的过渡团队发布的声明称，此次通话双方建立了互相尊重的共识。声明中表示，总统特朗普，相信两个领导人将会建立强有力的关系，推动两国关系向前发展。
Chinese state media confirmed the call took place, and said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two powers almost four decades ago, "bilateral relations have been developing continuously, bringing tangible benefits to peoples of both countries and promoting peace, stability and prosperity on the regional and world level."
中国官方媒体确认了此次通话，称自从中美建交近40年来，给两国人民带来了实实在在的利益，也促进了世界和地区和平、稳定、繁荣。
"China is a great and important country, and China’s development is remarkable," Trump is quoted as saying."The US and China can achieve mutual benefits and win-win results. I would love to work with you to enhance the cooperation between US and China. I’m sure the Sino-US relations will achieve better development."

China stands ready to further promote its relations with the United States on the new starting point following the election of Donald Trump as the next U.S. president, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here Sunday.
在特朗普当选美国总统后，周日，外交部长王毅在安卡拉表示，中方愿推动中美两国关系在新的起点上取得更大进展。
Wang made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, after they held the first meeting under the China-Turkey foreign ministers’ consultation mechanism.
外交部长王毅是在安卡拉同土耳其外长查武什奥卢举行中土外长磋商机制首次会议后的记者发布会上做出上述表态的。
Asked whether China has made contact with Trump’s team, Wang said China maintains close contact with the U.S. side at various levels, adding that it is a consensus shared by the U.S. Republican Party and the Democratic Party to constantly develop and deepen China-U.S. relations.

China, he said, is willing to continue its cooperation with the administration of outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama, so as to ensure a smooth transition of bilateral ties to the next U.S. administration.Meanwhile, Beijing also stands ready to communicate with Trump’s team, so as to cement mutual understanding and expand consensus on bilateral cooperation, added the Chinese foreign minister.

Citing Chinese President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory message to Trump, Wang said China is willing to push for greater progress in China-U.S. ties on the new starting point on the basis of the principles of non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation.
正如习近平主席在致特朗普当选总统贺电中所表示的，中方愿秉持不冲突不对抗、相互尊重、合作共赢的原则，推动两国关系在新的起点上取得更大进展。
Xi’s message has charted the course for the future development of China-U.S. ties, and China is ready to make joint efforts with the U.S. side to that end, said the minister.
王毅表示，习近平主席已经为中美关系的未来发展指明了方向。我们愿同美方一道，为此作出共同努力。
