China's Central Economic Work Conference has entered its third day in Beijing. The country's top leadership are meeting to set the national agenda for the economy.
The closed-door annual conference is reviewing economic progress in 2015, and mapping out plans for 2016. A key task is to set next year’s gross domestic product growth target. Experts say that seeking steady economic growth will still be the main goal for next year, as 2016 is the first year of the 13th Five Year Plan and there may be downward economic pressure.
Meanwhile, the Central Urban Work Conference will also take place for the first time in 37 years. Main topics to be discussed at the meeting include urban planning, housing policy and infrastructure construction. CCTV will bring you special coverage of both events today and tomorrow, focussing on a particular topic of discussion each day.
