The art of storytelling through photography is now on display in Shanghai, thanks to National Geographic Magazine. A new exhibition of 100 photographs includes many old pictures of the city.

National Geographic photos go on display in Shanghai
The photos are on display in the 439-meter-high sightseeing corridor of the Shanghai World Financial Center, the second-tallest building in town. Visitors can enjoy a view of the city’s current skyline, while looking at photos of the Bund and Huangpu River from the 1930s.
The show includes portraits of middle-class Chinese women in 1880 and a look at how the city has changed in recent decades. this is the first time that many of the photos have been shown in Shanghai.
The show includes many of the best photos to run in the magazine since it was first published in 1888, including some from remote corners of the planet.
The exhibition runs until March 1. Admission is 180 yuan.
