台湾暴雨成灾 大陆表示慰问
国台办发言人马晓光表示，中国大陆当局于周六对台湾暴雨成灾时间表示了关心和慰问。
Chinese mainland authorities on Saturday expressed concern and condolences over the heavy rains and floods in Taiwan, spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office Ma Xiaoguang said.
At least two people have been confirmed dead and three others were reported missing after heavy rain hit large parts of Taiwan on Friday.
Ma said mainland authorities are highly concerned about the safety of Taiwan residents and their economic losses.
Taiwan has been pummeled by this year's strongest rainfall. The region's weather bureau said a southwesterly airstream will leave the island on Sunday, but the weather front will persist.
The bad weather has caused delays in the departure and arrival of flights at Taoyuan International Airport and prompted transport authorities to shut down roads.
